2.1 Information You Provide Directly

• Full name and contact details (email address, phone number)
• Location or service address for booking purposes

2.2 Information Collected from Service Providers

In addition to the above, service providers who register on the Shatra platform are required to submit:

• Government-issued photo identification (driver's licence or passport)
• A selfie or biometric image for identity verification purposes
• Proof of address documentation
• A valid Vulnerable Sector Check (Canadian criminal background check issued by the RCMP or a local police service)

2.3 Information Collected Automatically

When you use our platform, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including:

• Pages visited and time spent on the platform

• Referring URLs and navigation patterns

3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes:

• To create and manage your account on the Shatra platform
• To facilitate service bookings, quotes, and communications between customers and service providers
• To process payments securely through our payment processors
• To verify the identity and background of service providers before they are approved on the platform

4.1 With Service Providers

When a customer submits a service request, relevant information (such as name, contact details, and service location) may be shared with the assigned independent service provider to facilitate the completion of the requested service.

4.2 With Third-Party Technology Partners

We work with trusted third-party service providers to operate our platform, including:

• Payment processors (Stripe and Interac) for secure transaction processing
• Identity verification providers for KYC verification of service providers
• Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers (Google Firebase)

4.3 As Required by Law

We may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law, court order, or government authority, or if we believe in good faith that such disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Shatra, our users, or the public.

5. DATA RETENTION

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Specifically:

• Customer account information is retained for the duration of your account and for a period of 7 years following account closure, as required for legal and tax compliance purposes
• Service provider verification documents are retained for a minimum of 7 years following the end of their engagement with the platform
• Transaction and payment records are retained for 7 years in accordance with Canadian tax law requirements
• Communications and support records are retained for 3 years following the last interaction

6. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER PIPEDA

As a Canadian resident, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information:
